What should I expect during my session?
We like to have fun and create a comfortable environment for your pictures. If you are not comfortable it will show in the final images. We play music and talk and have even been known to dance from time to time! Our goal is to help pose you in the most natural looking way in order to create memorable images.
Yes. Some of our most stunning portraits are taken at locations other than the studio. We are not opposed to traveling anywhere for your portrait session. Obviously, if you would like us to travel to a certain destination, session fees may vary. We routinely shoot family portraits, senior portraits, children’s portraits and weddings at locations other than our studio.
Pixels To Portraits does not limit the number of outfits you wear for your portrait session. In fact, if you are having trouble deciding between outfits we ask that you bring them all. Often times it helps for us to look at your outfits with you, compare them in the studio and then make a decision.
While you are not limited by the number of outfits you bring, please keep in mind that children typically do not do well with multiple outfit changes. The grumpier the child becomes, the grumpier the portraits will look!
High school seniors should keep time limits in mind. When scheduling your senior portraits, we will talk about the length of time we plan for your session. We will discuss the type and number of outfits you plan to bring at the time you book your senior portrait appointment.

Yes. Pixels To Portraits photographs a number of pets every year. Our studio has photographed everything from horses, dogs and cats, to rabbits, chicks, ducks and fish. Pet portraiture is a wonderful way to preserve the memories of special friends. We can photograph your pet formally or in a playful manner.
Often, high school seniors bring their pets to senior portrait sessions. We have taken some fantastic senior pictures that include pets.
Also, children’s portraits are always a hoot when you add in a fun animal. Typically our spring portrait packages include live animals of some type. Portraits of children interacting with live animals are sometimes the most special images we make.
Yes. We will provide you with a secure username and password to view your proofs. We only share your username and password with you. If you would like others to see your proofs, we ask that you pass the login information on to them.
How long will it take for my proofs to be available?
Barring weddings, typically proofs from your portrait session are ready within three to five days. However, at the conclusion of your session, we will schedule you for a proof viewing appointment where we will preview all your portraits with you and answer any additional questions you might have.
We are generally very busy at the holiday time. So, occasionally proofs may take slightly longer than five days. Again, we will give you a firm timeline at the conclusion of your portrait session.
Wedding proofs usually take two to four weeks before they are ready for you to view. Although online galleries may be ready sooner. At the time you book a wedding with Pixels To Portraits, we will go through the entire proofing process with you. See more information regarding our wedding photography here.
Orders are generally ready in three to five days. Depending on the size of your order and the amount of retouching needed, this may fluctuate. At the time your portrait order is placed, we will give you an estimated time for your order to arrive.
Orders can be rushed, however special rush fees may apply.
Wedding days are important and require a lot of planning. It is hard to sum up what you should expect at your wedding in a few sentences. The short answer: Beautiful wedding portraits, two camera coverage of your wedding, including pre-ceremony and the reception, engagement or bridal portraits, approximately 400-800 proofs, fantastic contemporary wedding albums and a wonderful experience.
